Senator Cornyn stopped by Texas Tech University this past Saturday. He was assisting the GOP in training grassroots activists for the upcoming election.

The Avalanche-Journal quoted the Senator speaking about the Presidential election:

"This is not like running for class president," he said. "This isn't a popularity contest. The winner of this election will be the leader of the free world and commander and chief."
