Instead of the Senate investigating steroid use by baseball players, it should study why diesal now costs more than gasoline.  Diesal fuel is the first cut off the distillation column in a refinery (meaning it costs less to make) and it has fewer EPA mandated additives and is not custom blended to meet EPA requirements, therefore it should always be cheaper than gasoline.  Refiners will allege lack of refining capacity, but they have previously scheduled routine maintence shutdowns to manipulate supply.  (P.S.  More should be said about nuclear energy.  Produce one approved model to avoid public participation and increase construction speed and reduce regulatory uncertainty.)

Thanks for the comment George. It's a great idea and I wanted to let you and everyone know that Senator Cornyn will be live blogging on our site in the very near future. Thanks!

I think that a moderated blog with limits on the length of the comments would have been more effective than the Issues Advisory Council conference call.  A relatively small number of callers spent way too long getting around to asking Senator Cornyn a question.

I hope you have a good moderator in place, you WILL get some strange folks commenting... This is a good move I think, it will give you a real look at some true feelings...
