Cornyn Speaks on the G.I Agreement

Senator Cornyn speaks below about the bi-partisan compromise on the G.I. Bill reached late last week. The legislation includes transferability, which Senator Cornyn had long insisted must be included.

Do you agree with the Senator?

Yes, I agree with him.  You go, Senator!  And thanks for standing up for our troops and their families.  As a wife of a career Army man who served in Vietnam, I can tell you that we dependents didn't get much support of any sort.  I'm glad to see that things are much better now, and if you get this passed they will be better still.  God bless!

John Sanchez, this is a updated version of the GI Bill from vietnam GI Bill.  It allows dependents to use the GI bill if the sponsor isn't able to.  I do hope it's retroactive and can help families who have lost their husbands/wives on the battlefield in Iraq/Afghanistan.  Excellent work Senator Cornyn!

I think it's great that he's standing up not only for our Veterans but for their families although I am still confused as to if this is the same bill from the Vietnam era or a new one.
